How do I find my property’s building permit history?
The Building Division has records of all issued and approved building permits. To obtain your property’s history, download a Building Permit Record Search Request  and fax it along with a Bankcard Authorization Form  to (650) 947- 2734. The fee for this service is $25.00. What are the City's permissible hours of construction?
Residential construction hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Commercial construction hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Construction is not permitted on Sunday or City observed holidays including: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
How much does a building permit cost?

When do permits expire?
Permits expire 180 days after issuance or 180 days following the date of the last inspection.
When do plan check applications expire?
Plan check applications expire 90 days from the date of the plan submittal. Extension requests must be submitted in writing prior to expiration. Plans submitted to plan check prior to a California Building Code change may extend the plan check for a limited time into the new code cycle. Plan check extensions must be requested in writing prior to the expiration.
